Maternity Wardrobe Favorites

I’ll be honest, I actually liked being big and pregnant during the summer because I loved to wear dresses. I actually didn’t own a pair of maternity pants for my pregnancy with Vivi. So when I realized with this pregnancy I’d be pregnant during winter, I got overwhelmed with all the layers and clothes I’d need! I’ve found a few favorites that I thought I’d share with those of y’all expecting and most of these are non-maternity specific so if you are not expecting, you have to check these too!

FAVORITE JEANS
Jessica Simpson maternity collection. That is all! 🙂 I have a black distressed pair, distressed faded denim and a dressy dark denim. They really cover all my needs for bottoms besides workout pants or legging which I already had. I hate anything on my belly though so I actually cut the spandex a bit and now actually like wearing pregnancy jeans. I am kind of wondering how much my world will be rocked when I have to start buttoning and zipping pants again! 😉

FAVORITE TOPS
I LOVE the piko tops from Gray Monroe. It was really important to me to not buy a ton of actual maternity clothes. I wanted pieces I could wear 6 months post-partum next winter and these are just perfect!! I luckily already have a ton of open sweaters so I’ve been pairing those with simple tees all winter!

FAVORITE SWEATERS
I haven’t shopped at Express in years, but when I saw my friend wearing an adorable sweater from there, I had to go check them out!! I bought two of these on Cyber Monday, a black in medium and the marl oatmeal in small. I wasn’t sure what size would work which is why I got two but I actually love both! The black is more like a tunic and I can wear with leggings and the oatmeal more like a regular sweater. And again, not maternity so they will work for next year.

FAVORITE DRESSES
ASOS Maternity!! Seriously, I don’t like spending much on maternity and this place has tons of great dresses for reasonable prices. I bought my dress for Natalie’s rehearsal dinner here and almost got my matron of honor dress from here too! I still have a few summer dresses from Vivi’s pregnancy that I will be wearing as soon as it warms up a bit and honestly, I wore them after pregnancy too because they didn’t look too maternity-ish.

AROUND THE HOUSE
I have this black and white striped Mikah Maxi from Gray Monroe and just bought the army green too. Leggings and jeans give me restless leg if I wear for too long and I’ve already mentioned how I hate all the compression on my belly from all pants so these have been a lifesaver to wear around the house and be completely comfortable. They aren’t maternity and I actually wore this black and white dress all summer last year so I was excited to pull it out the closet the other day and see it still fit and had plenty of room for my belly to grow!

FAVORITE SHOES
I’ve been living in these with jeans and these with gym clothes the last several months. Both slip on which is getting more and more important these days! As soon as it warms up, I’m sure I will be in flip flops most days but these have made the winter shoe wearing combined with a growing belly and bending issues not so bad.
