Sad. Anxious. Depressing. Dread-filled. Fearful.
All these words have described my thoughts before. Last year, as I read my Bible, the word “mind” kept catching my attention. I had felt at the mercy of my own thoughts so many times, but the message God was pressing into me was that I had power over my mind.
I think we all know this to some extent, but I didn’t know HOW to actually take power over my mind and that I could experience more peace and joy.
- Not every negative thought had to derail my day.
- Not every fear had to overcome me and distract me from my kids.
So I studied the word “mind” and created a 14-day email challenge called “Renew.” I loved the idea of spending two solid weeks transforming our thoughts and creating a healthier habit of taking control of something I’ve long let run roughshod.
Today, we are introducing “Renew” in E-book (PDF) form.
Since I first wrote the challenge, I’ve wanted to go back several times on hard days to be encouraged by the truth of renewing my mind. But the reality is, I didn’t want to dig around my email. I wanted it all printed out, in the drawer of my nightstand to access whenever I started to feel the world creep in. I even thought I’d copy and paste all the emails into one document (even though I wrote it, I don’t have it all in one Word doc because I wrote straight into ConvertKit).
Maybe that’s you. Maybe you took the challenge and you really saw a difference, but you’d love a refresher that you can pick up when you struggle to take thoughts captive. Or maybe you aren’t in your inbox every day and would rather go through the challenge with paper in hand. This is for you!
I actually still love the 14-day email format. The slow drip of content means you are consistently met with truth which helps to form a habit. You don’t read it all at once in one day only for it to never take root.
We’ve been blown away by how God has used this FREE resource in the lives of thousands of you!
"It's an answer to prayer that I didn't even have the words or, honestly, the energy to pray. But God is so good. He picks us up when we are weak and He uses someone across the country to help in ways we didn't even think about." - Cassi W.
“Instead of tending to the devil's seed of anxiety, I remembered what you had sowed in my heart and immediately felt God grow that up and suffocate the worry. It was beautiful and I just love him so much for meeting me and you and all the people doing this right where we are. Thank Jesus we don't have to get our acts together first!” - Morgan
“I have struggled with anxiety (which can lead towards depression) for 15 years, and I am only 30! I have been to counseling and it rarely is what I need. I have tried journaling, but it is not productive. But I journaled through the introduction and day one of your challenge and it is SO SO good for me!” - Sara S.
So below, choose which method fits you best. Or feel free to sign up for both if you haven’t gone through either!
