Recently, Val asked in an Instagram post how long people had been using our journals. It was exciting to see people say 2, 5, 3, 4, 6 years!! It’s humbling to know that we’re creating a product that you come back to year after year. We’re so grateful and we wanted to be able to thank you for choosing Val Marie Paper for your own personal journal as well as gifts throughout the year. That’s why we recently introduced our rewards program.
As you make purchases, follow on social media, have a birthday, etc, you’ll earn points that then turn into dollars. For every 100 points that you earn, you get $5 off your purchase.

First, you’ll need to log in to the rewards program or create an account. If you’ve created an account with VMP before, you can log in using that account information. If creating an account, you will receive an email to activate your account. Click the link in the email and then you will be able to sign in!
Once logged in, you are able to start earning points! To earn points, click on the box to complete the task. You must complete these tasks through these boxes on the rewards program page, otherwise, the points will not be calculated. Currently, these actions must be completed on a computer.
After completing a purchase, you can return to the rewards program and see the points you have accumulated.
Once logged in to your account, click “Redeem Now”. Choose the cash amount you want to redeem, click “Redeem” and copy & paste your code at checkout!
What if I checked out as a guest?
Once an account has been created, you will receive the points. The account must be created using the same email address that was used when the purchase was made.
Why didn’t I get double points for my first purchase?
Double points are awarded for the first purchase a new VMP customer makes. This is only if this is the first purchase ever made with VMP, not first purchases with the rewards account.
Why didn’t I get my birthday points?
Birthday points are rewarded once a year on the customer’s birthday. As a built-in fraud-prevention feature, there is an added layer of security regarding birthday points. A customer will not get rewarded points for their birthday if they enter a date that is in the next 30 days. They will be rewarded 30 days from when they signed up instead.
I’m not getting my email confirmation in order to complete my sign up.
Sometimes our emails don’t get to the right place! When this happens, it usually means the email has been redirected to another folder. Here’s what you can try:
1. Check your spam and/or promotions folder.
2. Add email@example.com to your address book and then email us to let us know you’d like us to resend your confirmation.
3. Get in touch with your email provider to find out if there may be a block or filter keeping you from receiving our emails. Here’s are the help links from Gmail and Yahoo.
4. The last option we have is to change the email address on your account. To try using a different email address, send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org with both your current and updated email addresses.
