When I sat down to choose the colors for our 2027 prayer journal collection, I’ll be honest with you. I was nervous.
Our 2026 colors were such a hit with this community. You loved them, and I felt the weight of that in the best possible way. So when it came time to dream up what would come next, I polled you – our people – and the feedback poured in. So many colors, so many hopes, so many “please make this one!” messages. I read every single one. And more than anything, I didn’t want to let you down.
But the truth is, this collection didn’t come from a color chart or a trend forecast. It came from a moment.
A sunset that changed everything
When we began planning this collection, I was about three months postpartum. If you’ve followed along, you know I’ve been open about my struggle with what I think was some form of postpartum anxiety or maybe postpartum burnout. Some days felt heavy in a way that’s hard to put into words.
I live in Florida, and one of the places I always feel peace is the beach at sunset. So on a particularly hard day, I loaded my kids into the car and we drove out to watch the sun go down. Peace came almost the moment we arrived. I heard Riley shout, “This is so much fun!” and something in me finally exhaled. As I looked out at the sky, all those vibrant and soft colors bleeding together over the ocean line, I saw God’s creation on full display, in all His glory.
That was the moment I knew. Sunrise, sunset… those in-between hours when the sky is on fire and everything goes quiet, that’s when I feel closest to God. And that’s exactly what I wanted our 2027 collection to hold.
More than a pretty journal
Because here’s what I never want to lose sight of: these are so much more than “products.”
They are prayer journals. Tools for our faith. Active weapons against the enemy. They exist to draw us nearer to our Creator and to give us a way to pray for the people we love deeply, meaningfully, and intentionally. When I picture you opening one of these at your kitchen table, or on your nightstand, or in the passenger seat at a red light, I’m not thinking about paper and foil. I’m thinking about the prayers that will fill those pages.
So every color in this collection is meant to carry a little of that sunset light as a reminder of the God who paints the sky new every single evening, and every single morning.
The 2027 Collection
This year’s collection spans our two flagship lines, Rhythms and Signature, and together, the six colors move like a day of sky, from the first blush of dawn all the way to the deep hush of dusk.
Rhythms
Our yearly journal with twelve pre-dated months that build a consistent rhythm of prayer, space to write out prayers a few times a week, and a blank section for gratitude.
Rosewater. The soft flush of first light. That tender, barely-there pink the sky wears just before the sun crests the horizon. Gentle, hopeful, the color of a morning that’s only beginning.
Amethyst. That rich band of violet that shows up right when day and night meet, bold and glowing, the most vivid stripe in a sunset sky.
Dusk. The deep blue that settles in after the sun slips away, when the day goes still and the stars begin to wake. Calm, grounding, quietly reverent.
Signature
Our six-month journal for going deeper with six undated months of prompts, a “God Speaks” section for listening to the Lord, and daily writing space.
Sky. Clear, open, soft blue. The color of a midday sky and a settled heart. There’s so much room to breathe in this one.
Cerise. The boldest blaze on the horizon, the pink that steals your breath at the height of a sunset. Vibrant, joyful, impossible to ignore.
Butter Yellow. The warm, golden glow of the sun itself. Soft as butter, radiant as golden hour. Comfort and light in a single shade.
