Well, this month looks a little different than we all expected! Please know that we’re praying for you as we navigate this unusual season together. I hope you can find a little encouragement in some of the resources I’ve collected for you this month!

2. ANXIETY FREE WEEK

It’s been 10 days since I’ve read a COVID-19 story and it’s done wonders for the anxiety I felt the first week of quarantine. My sister updates me daily with numbers if I want so I still feel in the loop but I’m just getting facts and not the crazy amount of speculative news. Side note: If I seem hard on the media, it’s because I graduated in journalism and learned a very different approach to sharing news and hate to see how many have shifted for personal gain.

3. IT’S ALREADY BEEN A YEAR?

Grumpy Mom Takes a Holiday released a year ago on April 9. I can’t believe it! We’ve got some fun things planned for next week on the blog so stay tuned. I’ve been seeing so many of you pull out your copy during this quarantine time and I pray this book continues to encourage you!

4. COVID-19 Prayer Challenge

With all that’s going on, we figured we could use some daily reminders to turn to the Lord. Join in by following along on Insta stories or in our VMP Society FB group!

5. MAYBE WE NEED A NAP?

I’m dealing with some health issues and have been trying to figure them out for weeks. And to tell you the truth, it’s exhausting to constantly analyze what might be the cause. I finally decided to just chill out and seriously rest for a few days. Like, I’m writing this from bed right now after 24 hours of doing absolutely nothing. Stress feels like an invisible force that doesn’t REALLY affect me but I think it really can. If you are struggling right now, check out this old blog post that I’ve been reflecting back on–16 practical ways to reduce stress.

6. HOW ARE YOU DOING?

As all this continues, I can’t help but notice an avalanche of new content and I’m scared to add to it. Is that what you need right now? A little space to breathe? Or is anything particularly helpful in this season?
